George Soros & Ramaphosa

*

Read more about the involvement of George Soros (Open Society Foundation SA) and Cato Institute (America)  in South Africa and also with their leaders – SA is part of Brics countries too.     There are  more than 8840 traditional leaders (brown/coloured / black) involved in separate CPA’s or trustland for each of them, with mostly communal land ownership.   So-called apartheid since 1840 is not gone.   Look at the B-BBEE legislations as well that discriminate against only the white minority in South Africa.   Well-known liberals are also working for George Soros – OSF.SA.

Velaphi Khumalo (haatspraak)

SOROS IDEOLOGIE:

The Soros plan in terms of global economics is quite simple: He wants to phase out the U.S. dollar as the international reserve currency and bring the U.S. into a system of international socialism, with new and more powerful global agencies deciding our economic and financial fate. It will mark the end of the American system of self-government.
Other members of the Socialist International Commission that investigated the financial crisis headed by Stiglitz were: Anatoly Aksakov, Member of the Board of the Russian Federation Central Bank and Member of Russian State Duma, For a Just Russia Party; Dr Héctor Alexander, Minister of Economy and Finances of Panama, Democratic Revolutionary Party, PRD; Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas, Founder of the Party for Democratic Revolution, PRD, Mexico and Honorary President of the Socialist International; Elio Di Rupo, Leader of the Socialist Party, PS, Belgium, and SI Vice-President; Alfred Gusenbauer, Chancellor of Austria and SI Vice-President; Eero Heinäluoma, Finnish Social Democratic Party and SI Vice-President; Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, Former Prime Minister of Mali and Leader of the Assembly for Mali, RPM; Pia Locatelli; President of Socialist International Women; Fathallah Oualalou, Former Minister of Finance, Socialist Union of Popular Forces, USFP, Morocco; Professor Shri Arjun K. Sengupta, Member of Parliament, Indian National Congress Party; Antolin Sánchez Presedo, Member of the European Parliament, Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party, PSOE, Spain; Peer Steinbrück, Federal Finance Minister of Germany and Deputy Chair of the Social Democratic Party; Andres Velasco, Minister of Finance, Chile; and Fozia Wahab, Member of the Pakistan National Assembly and Chair of the National Finance Committee of the Parliament.

“Taxation on global negative externalities, such as arms sales to developing countries, pollution, and destabilizing cross-border financial flows, can provide a third source of revenue for financing global public goods.”

Soros also happens to figure in the financial underwriting of the non-governmental organization (NGO) that Stiglitz has created to carry his ideas forward. It’s called the Initiative for Policy Dialogue, based at Columbia University. His funders  include:

  • Open Society Institute.
  • Ford Foundation.
  • Charles Stewart Mott Foundation
  • John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation
  • United Nations Development Program.

QUOTE

About: The International Crisis Group, headquartered in Brussels, bills itself as “an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation committed to preventing and resolving deadly conflict.”  Founded in 1995, the international NGO “publishes annually over 80 reports and briefing papers, as well as the CrisisWatch bulletin assessing every month the current state of play in some 70 countries or areas of actual or potential conflict.”

Mission Statement:  We are generally seen as playing a major role in six main ways:

  • ringing early warning alarm bells, in the monthly CrisisWatch bulletin, and in specific ‘conflict alerts’ . . .
  • contributing, on both process and substance, behind the scenes support and advice to critical peace negotiations . . .
  • producing highly detailed analysis and advice on specific policy issues in scores of conflict or potential conflict situations around the world, helping policymakers in the UN Security Council, regional organisations, donor countries and others with major influence, and in the countries at risk themselves, do better in preventing, managing and resolving conflict, and in rebuilding after it . . .
  • providing detailed information unobtainable elsewhere on developments regarding conflict, mass violence and terrorism of particular utility to policymakers . . .
  • offering new strategic thinking on some of the world’s most intractable conflicts and crises, challenging or refining prevailing wisdom . . .
  • strongly supporting a rules-based, rather than force-based, international order, in particular significantly influencing UN resolutions and institutional structures in relation to the new international norm of the ‘responsibility to protect’.

Soros Funding:  Soros, a long-time member of the ICG’s board, made the following remarks about the group in 2003: “My support of the ICG is part of a larger strategy.  I believe in crisis prevention and crisis resolution.  I have developed what I call the Soros doctrine — preventive action of a constructive nature which I juxtapose to the Bush doctrine of preemptive action of a military nature . . . I am the member of a well-balanced board which has such people on it as Richard Perle and Richard Allen.  I do have some influence on the subjects which are selected for study.

The ICG first made a name for itself in the Balkans and it was their success there that induced me to offer my challenge grant.  The ICG now covers most of the trouble spots of the world, and there are many of them, and it has made a valuable contribution to resolving some of them.  I am thinking in particular of the reports on Liberia and the whole western African region, the report on the Palestinian question which I think makes more sense than the roadmap.

CRISIS GROUP

Who is the “crisis group” and list of all the TRUSTEES

Soros and his son.PNG

Crisis Group was founded in 1995 as an international non-governmental organisation by a group of prominent statesmen who despaired at the international community’s failure to anticipate and respond effectively to the tragedies of Somalia, Rwanda and Bosnia. The group was led by Morton Abramowitz (former U.S. Ambassador to Turkey and Thailand, then President of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace), Mark Malloch-Brown (former head of the UN Development Programme, then UN Deputy Secretary-General and UK Minister), and its first Chairman, U.S. Senator George Mitchell. The idea was to create a new organisation with a highly professional staff to serve as the world’s eyes and ears for impending conflicts, and with a highly influential board that could mobilise effective action from global policymakers.

“CARNEGIE ENDOWMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL PEACE”

No automatic alt text available.

1 February 2018

The board of trustees for the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace today announced the addition of Jonathan Oppenheimer, a South African businessman and philanthropist.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Jonathan to Carnegie’s board of trustees,” said Harvey V. Fineberg, chairman of the board. “Jonathan’s distinguished global business career and lifelong commitment to scholarship, sustainability, conservation, and other issues critical to advancing the cause of peace in this century make him a perfect fit for our board.”

Jonathan began his career at NM Rothschild & Sons, before moving to Anglo American and subsequently De Beers, where he held a number of senior management roles in Southern Africa and London over two decades. He founded Oppenheimer Partners in 2016, the next chapter of the Oppenheimer family’s investment journey. He remains actively involved in the family’s other commercial and not-for-profit activities, including the Brenthurst Foundation, a Johannesburg-based economic development think tank, and Tswalu Kalahari, South Africa’s largest private game reserve.

“I am delighted to join the board of the Carnegie Endowment. Our world faces difficult challenges on multiple fronts – from extreme poverty and environmental crises to the resurgence of populism. Thoughtful analysis and leadership at such junctures is vital, and Carnegie offers just that. I look forward to working with this esteemed board and leadership team at this critical time in Carnegie’s history.”   “Jonathan embodies the spirit of the Carnegie Endowment,” said Carnegie President William J. Burns. “I really look forward to benefiting from his partnership as we chart Carnegie’s future course.”

George Soros Funded Organization Behind Release of Massive Leak of Info on Power People Behind Secrete Offshore Accounts.
A new investigation spearheaded by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, an organization launched by the Center for Public Integrity reveals the offshore links to some of the most powerful people on the planet. The disclosed papers are being called, the Panama Papers, by ICIJ.
It should be kept in mind, as this story unfolds, that CPI has been partly funded by George Soros.

In 2003 the Wall Street Journal criticized the CPI for accepting large funds from George Soros…These concerns were echoed by the National Rifle Association and others in 2005 and by the Idaho Statesman in 2006….In 2011, Politico called into question CPI’s collaboration with advocacy organizations. Politico reported that CPI had coordinated the release of a report on Koch Industries with Greenpeace. Politico also reported that Pew Charitable Trusts, a funder of the Looting the Seas report, hosted a screening of a CPI documentary and then organized a call to action with other NGOs for the protection of bluefin tuna. In 2008, CPI published a report on tobacco that was both funded by and promoted by an advocacy group called Tobacco Free Kids.

The leak is being managed by the grandly but laughably named “International Consortium of Investigative Journalists”, which is funded and organised entirely by the USA’s Center for Public Integrity. Their funders include

Ford Foundation
Carnegie Endowment
Rockefeller Family Fund
W K Kellogg Foundation
Open Society Foundation (Soros)

After the Kochs filed suit, Cato President Ed Crane issued a statement saying, “While (Charles) Koch and entities controlled by him have supported the Cato Institute financially since that time, Mr. Koch and his affiliates have exercised no significant influence over the direction or management of the Cato Institute, or the work done here.”  read more

Paul O’Sullivan was on board a plane at the Moscow airport when he got the news that Cyril Ramaphosa had been voted as new president of the ANC.   O’Sullivan was Ramaphosa’s training officer after the man of the moment became a Police Reservist two decades back – Alec Hogg

What was he like as a reservist? Was he good at it?

Well, strangely enough there as a company then called JCI, I don’t know if you remember it. It was Johannesburg Consolidated Investments and he was involved with that. Of course, we all know what happened to JCI with or without an involvement from Cyril, but Cyril was engaged in business by that stage. After the first elections he decided not to become a parliamentarian and he went into business.

He elaborated on the “talks” at Codesa and the crime situation today.

Control of minerals – NATIONAL UNION OF MINEWORKERS
On the left is a white man, Harry Oppenheimer — the epitome of mining capital in the apartheid era and the head of a family dynasty that at its height owned more than 60% of the JSE assets. He is impeccably dressed, a dignified 76-year-old elder statesman of liberal capital.    On his right, in a casual jacket, open-necked shirt and corduroy trousers is a 36-year-old Cyril Ramaphosa, with a shaggy beard looking every bit the fiery young revolutionary. He was the general secretary of the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) and a rising voice in the trade union and resistance movement.
Related image

Oppenheimer was a liberal of the distinctly South African kind. He supported a free market and opposed apartheid, was a great philanthropist and supporter of the white parliamentary opposition, but operated a business that benefited fundamentally from cheap migrant labour.

We had asked each of them to say a few words about freedom of the media. But the ever-shrewd Ramaphosa had other ideas. His speech was a fierce and rousing denunciation of the mining bosses, the conditions of mine workers and the political situation, delivered in the Marxist language and with the rhetorical flourishes of the trade union movement.

In the audience was a phalanx of mine workers and union officials, who cheered and sang anticapitalist songs.   Oppenheimer looked uncomfortable. When he got to his feet, he had to deal with aggressive chanting, singing and dancing — until Ramaphosa signalled to his followers to let Oppenheimer speak.

The message was clear: Oppenheimer might have unparallelled corporate, social and economic power, but Ramaphosa commanded a mass following that was ready to demand power. The tide was turning and a new generation with a different language, dress, attitude and ideology was seizing the stage.

Oppenheimer, a veteran of 10 years of raucous debate in Parliament, where he had sat on the opposition benches, responded with aplomb. “We have just listened to a long and impassioned speech from Mr Ramaphosa, made more impassioned by the absence of fact.” He apologised that he had not expected to have to deal with the topics raised, but said strong words about the situation in SA, the states of emergency and media freedom.

Before he died in 2000, Oppenheimer oversaw the sale of a chunk of his empire to a black empowerment consortium, in which Ramaphosa played a part.
