Unemployment – B-BBEE – Werkloosheid swart bemagtiging

R350 is niks.

2020

Research published by Nedbank forecasts that 1.6 million jobs will be shed in the country in 2020. By comparison, approximately 900,000 jobs were lost after the global financial recession.

The country lacks the financial resources to withstand the extended closure of companies, said Martin Kingston, head of the economic workgroup at Business for South Africa (B4SA). “We are talking about weeks, not months, to get through the levels. That is what we aspire to as business.” B4SA forecasts that up to four million jobs could be lost this year.

Early projections by the South African Reserve Bank suggested that South Africa could see around 370,000 job losses and 1,600 businesses being declared insolvent in the country. These predictions were made a month ago, before the extended lockdown period was announced, and is therefore likely to have been exacerbated since. READ MORE ….

“What country has the most insane Corona virus stategy”?*

Kreuben Moodley wrote the following during May 2020:

Multiple industries have totally shutdown with many saying they cannot afford to exist post lockdown. These major South African companies say they are facing closure or job cuts due to the coronavirus. In our first month we have had more deaths by police brutality related to the lockdown than we did from the virus. Eight people allegedly already killed by police during lockdown – more than the virus.

People are starving, children are in hospital from malnutrition.‘Let’s leave the issue at that’ – Mkhize on Glenda Gray matter. South Africans are still waiting for their $19 monthly stipend. Yes you read right, $19. Which has not yet arrived.  Sassa apologises for delays in R350 special grant after only 10 people paid so far in trial run.

Social distancing – no food – 2020 (not the only photo and video material). No food.
