Farm attacks and killings – South Africa Oct2020

Facts are real and farm (whites) attacks and killings are real, the killing of our history, culture, traditions and Afrikaans are real – it is genocide.    And B-BBEE is also part of that. Genocide is not only about the killing of people, but also their language, culture, identity, history, traditions, etc.     Of the opinion that most of the farm attacks, raping and killings are to create fear within the white community and even to workers that do not know what is going on and to loose jobs.    The “powers” behind the attacks and killings want to make sure, nobody must have food or an income to survive and to be dependent from the government for freebees ( #bolshevism ).   Some workers are working together to create more fear on the farm and inhouse.   Is a 100% repeat of the Anglo Boer Wars situations and also Zimbabwe and Congo style.

Some of those terrorists make use of fires as well but there are somebody behind it all.   If a white farmer or business person has been attacked, tortured and even killed, there are various job opportunities gone missing and those that live on those farms must start elsewhere to survive.    Those things all do have an impact in white society and family lives.

If you look at the general killings of South Africans, most of them are black on white/ black/ coloured/indian people.  Who will be the winners at the end?   Not the farmers or their families and societies, but the “powers and elites” to get the whole of the country.

So-called constitution
Preamble

Improve the qualiiy of life of all citizens and free the potential of each person; and

Why  do people and outside governments, with their agreements and MOU’s, supported those more than 100 legislations that discriminate against the white minority of South Africa.   After the words of

11. Life.-Everyone has the right to life.

The reality is farm murders, farm attacks, the attacks on white minority groups and also black economy empowerment, legislation only on the white community of South Africa.   AND if you go further, if there are any agreements on the table with the ANC, those international communities also supported Black empowerment.

“There are no #farm murders in South #Africa” – Pres #Cyril #Ramaphosa. Only, there are, plenty of them and they continue during “lockdown.” The tragic loss live in brutal, senseless murders across rural South Africa is disturbing. Black, White, Coloured, Indian….. all victims of a climate of violence allowed to fester through intentional actions and neglect of rural security by the ruling #ANC.

OPINIONS

Chris Pappas, MPL -Democratic Alliance (DA) KZN Spokesperson on Agriculture and Rural Development in an extensive written parliamentary reply to questions posed by the DA in KwaZulu-Natal has revealed staggeringly low arrest and conviction rates for the past two decades when it comes to murders and attacks against farmers and farm workers in the province.

A man accused of killing a couple on their farm in Newcastle abandoned his bail application in the Newcastle Magistrates court on Monday.

Siyabonga Goodman Macu, 29, appeared in connection with the murder of Glen Rafferty and his wife Vida Rafferty on August 29.

The couple were shot and killed on their farm in Normandien.

Macu faces two counts of murder, robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery charges.

National Prosecuting Authority(NPA )regional spokesperson Natasha Kara said Macu’s legal aid attorney informed the court that he was abandoning his application for bail.

Kara said the matter was set for further investigation until October 29.

The response, by KZN Community Safety MEC, Bheki Ntuli, covers the period 2000 to June 2020 and shows that;

• Only 43.7% of the total number of murder cases involving farmers ended in conviction

• Just 56.7% of the total number of arrests involving the murder of farmers ended in conviction

• Just 30.2% of the total number of cases involving the murder of farm workers ended in conviction and;

• 42.4% the total number of arrests involving the murder of farm workers ended in conviction.

The same reply also includes information on attacks on farmers and farm workers with the following statistics recorded between 2000 and June 2020;

• In terms of attacks on farmers, only 20.7% of the total number of cases opened ended in conviction while just 49.7% of arrests ended in conviction and;

• In terms of attacks on farm workers, just 15.8% of all cases opened resulted in convictions while only 34.7% of the total number of arrests ending in a conviction.

“It is now urgent that a solid and feasible plan is implemented in order to turn the current situation around. It is in this light that the DA has submitted a follow-up written parliamentary question to MEC Ntuli and to SAPS in a bid to ascertain the state of police services within our province’s rural and farming communities,” Pappas said.

Organisers Shakti Rampasad and Lihle Ndlovu summed up the protest in the words “no farmers, no future”, adding safety was imperative for the entire farming supply chain which extended from larger commercial farmers to rural businesses and service providers as well as subsistence farmers and workers.

“We believe in a better and brighter future for our rural communities, a future in which every person is safe and secure, and has freedom to work and contribute without fear,” said Rampasad.

The DA’s KZN spokesperson on agriculture and rural development, Chris Pappas, said that in response to a parliamentary reply to questions posed by the DA in KZN, it emerged there had been a staggeringly low arrest and conviction rate for farm murders and attacks over the past two decades.

KZN Community Safety MEC Bheki Ntuli revealed that between 2000 and June 2020, only 43.7% of the number of murder cases involving farmers had ended in conviction. Just 56.7% of the number of arrests involving the murder of farmers ended in conviction, and just 30.2% of the cases involving the murder of farm workers ended in conviction. And 42.4% of the number of arrests involving the murder of farm workers ended in conviction.

“Between 2000 and June 2020, in terms of attacks on farmers, only 20.7% of the total number of cases opened ended in conviction while just 49.7% of arrests ended in conviction and, in terms of attacks on farm workers, just 15.8% of all cases opened resulted in convictions while only 34.7% of the total number of arrests ended in conviction,” said Pappas.

Sandy La Marque, chief executive of the KZN Agricultural Union (Kwanalu), said: “Since the lockdown levels, particularly level 3, were lifted, we have seen a rise in criminal incidents in rural and urban areas. Levels of poverty and unemployment continue to rise steadily and are a major contributing factor to rural crime.”

She added that lack of service delivery was the main reason for tensions in rural areas.

“In some recent cases, violent and destructive expressions of lack of service delivery through protests and arson have been witnessed. One often attributes service delivery issues to municipalities. However, lack of services and progress in dealing with matters such as restitution, labour tenants, and financial support has been experienced for years.

“KZN has a vast number of outstanding issues, which are not new. Many have suffered and continue to be at the mercy of government for resolution. The lack of resources, budget, will and dispute resolution mechanisms must be addressed in order to prevent the continued frustration.”

The couple, who have chosen to remain anonymous, survived despite being tortured in the farm workshop. The 64-year-old farmer, who was overpowered by six attackers when approaching his workshop on Sunday evening, and his wife, 53, who attempted to come to his aid, were beaten with planks and pipes.

Two sources, who did not want to be named, said the attackers allegedly tried to cut off the farmer’s leg using an angle grinder.

He also sustained extensive skull and facial fractures and was airlifted to a Johannesburg hospital.

The attackers also twisted and broke the wife’s nose with a vice grip in an attempt to persuade the couple to hand over a large sum of money that they believed was on the farm, the sources said.

The attackers eventually fled with two flat screen TVs, firearms and valuables in the couple’s Hilux bakkie when disturbed by the arrival of the couple’s son.

On Sunday night, Bronkhorstspruit police spokesperson Constable Munyadziwa Ramovha,confirmed the attack and said no arrests had been made. He could not be reached yesterday.

This attack follows another incident in the Western Cape over the weekend. According to police, a farmer, his wife and a family friend were shot by armed robbers on a farm in Klipheuwel during a robbery on Saturday night.

Earlier this month, Glen and Vida Rafferty were murdered on their farm in Normandien, near Newcastle.

At the weekend, the Upper Tongaat Community led a motorcade that included a microlight, three tractors, 92 bakkies and three trucks, and travelled from Tongaat to Ballito on the KwaZulu-Natal North Coast in a peaceful protest to raise awareness of the need for farm safety.

Organisers Shakti Rampasad and Lihle Ndlovu summed up the protest in the words “no farmers, no future”, adding safety was imperative for the entire farming supply chain which extended from larger commercial farmers to rural businesses and service providers as well as subsistence farmers and workers.

Plaasmoorde – MOORDE – Farm killings

*

White Farm attacks, rapes, tortures, killings are part of their whole agenda, with Black Empowerment – B-BBEE and EE legislations, more than 100 legislations only to kill whites in South Africa.   Even in cities and towns they also focus on the attacking of whites, but there are other attacks on other groups of people.  BUT where are all the killers, rapers and attackers today – how many court cases or verdicts?

Farm attacks/tortures/killings – photos – Plaas moorde en aanvalle – foto – RAPES-VERKRAGTINGS

*

This statistics are only farm attacks we are aware of … and we in South Africa know the reasons why – we have a president that denied killings and attacks, the other political parties are singing to kill farmers and make sure you know who are the media houses – same happened also before 1994.  Crime is a very good income to government and their agents – 15% Vat and insurances.

Killings – Moorde

*

“By “genocide” we mean the destruction of a nation or of an ethnic group…. Generally speaking, genocide does not necessarily mean the immediate destruction of a nation, except when accomplished by mass killings of all members of a nation. It is intended rather to signify a coordinated plan of different actions aiming at the destruction of essential foundations of the life of national groups, with the aim of annihilating the groups themselves. The objectives of such a plan would be disintegration of the political and social institutions, of culture, language, national feelings, religion, and the economic existence of national groups, and the destruction of the personal security, liberty, health, dignity, and even the lives of the individuals belonging to such groups.”

Genocide – Volksmoord

*

Genocide in South Africa

*

(Dr Stanton of Genocide Watch): Genocide is a process that develops in ten stages that are predictable but not inexorable. At each stage, preventive measures can stop it. The process is not linear. Stages may occur simultaneously. Logically, later stages must be preceded by earlier stages. But all stages continue to operate throughout the process.   To attack, torture and kill.
