Two Eskom employees and a supplier to the embattled state-owned electricity utility have been arrested and charged with theft, fraud and corruption related to the disappearance and non-delivery of goods and services valued at hundreds of millions of rand. The suspects are Jessie Phindile Kubeka, a 51% shareholder in a supplier company, and Eskom employees Sarah Nomsa Sibiya (a senior technician) and Bhekizizwe Solomon Twala (a senior storeman). They were released on bail of R5 000 each and their trial has been set down for 21 February 2022.

Wie doen die swart bemagtigingsaanstellings, toeken van tenders aan swart bemagtigers en wie beheer die staatsentiteit – ESKOM? Hierdie plundering en diefstal, terrorisme gaan al vir 27 jaar aan.
Begin eerstens by die topstrukture van die ANC regering wat nie die staatsentiteite behoorlik kan of wil bestuur nie. Daar was selfs al ‘n staatskaping en wie het aan die pen gery en is al die geld wat gesteel is, al met rentes teruggeplaas? Betaal diegene wat so miljoene steel ook belasting op daardie ekstra inkomstes wat hulle so van ons staatskas af steel?
Dis waar sabotasie plaasvind, op topvlak, waar dit na onder afwentel in die hele stelsel in. Dit raak nie net Eskom nie, maar al die staatsentiteite wat betrokke is. Meeste swart bemagtigingsposisies. Raak ontslae van die wat so steel en medepligtig is, selfs al is hul deel van parlement. Hou op duur kommissies aanstel wat niks bereik nie. Wat het enige kommissie al in 27 jaar bereik?
Diefstal, plundering, sabotasie en steel van belastingbetalersinkomstes, gaan waarskynlik al vir maande aan en die toesighouers steel saam. Dit kom voor, daar word min of selde toesig gehou by hierdie kragstasies.
Waar is al die bestuurders of deel hulle ook in dit wat gesteel is . Help nie dit word net in media genoem maar die vrot word nie verwyder nie. Hoekom moet belastingbetalers deel wees om Eskom op te bou as die spul swart bemagtigers heeltyd steel en afbreek.
Noudat De Ruyter van Eskom daar is, word ‘n baie klein persentasie van die skuldiges aan die klok gehang, maar hierdie is ‘n druppeltjie in een emmer van kragdadige diefstalle en sabotasie wat ons netwerke steel en ook van werksgeleenthede beroof. Hulle word oornag multi-miljoenêrs en ons wat betaal moet die gelag van beurtkrag betaal, krag wat ons nie kry nie. Waarom word munisipaliteite wat nie betaal nie, se skuld afgeskryf – dis ook steel van krag.
Die een wat saam gesteel het, is ‘n direkteur in die 51% swart bemagtiging van Ramaphosa en parlement wat dit so aanbeveel as tenders goedgekeur word. Dus word al hierdie tenders goedgekeur onder die vals naam van swart bemagtiging om hulself en hul opdraggewers te verryk.
Hoe steel mens R100 miljoen se brandstof van een kragstasie – maklik – as jy ‘n swart bemagtiger is. Hoeveel gaan aan hul leiers wat dit goedkeur? Bykans die hele parlement het die swart bemagtiging wetgewing goedgekeur en is netso skuldig aan hierdie sabotasie van die belastingbetaler met behulp van tenders.
Hulle steel 100de miljoene rande se toerusting en brandstof, en kom weg met ‘n borg van R5000 – hoe is dit moontlik, speel die regsbank ook hier saam die plunderaars om dieselfde tafel of wat?

The arrests were made by Capt Mark Nortjé, who was accompanied by Mr Weideman van Wyk from Drone Ops Special Investigating Team, a private investigations company that was involved in the investigation. Capt Nortjé says the investigation is ongoing and another arrest is imminent. He could not confirm the exact details of the alleged crime, nor the amount of money involved.
Two Eskom employees arrested for fraud at Tutuka Power Station
According to a statement released by the power utility, the theft is in relation to theft of spares at its Tutuka power station valued at ‘hundreds of millions of rands’. The two Eskom employees and a supplier appeared in the Standerton Magistrate’s Court on Friday on charges of theft, fraud and corruption.
“The arrests followed months of internal investigative work by Eskom in cooperation with the law enforcement agencies in Mpumalanga,” the power utility said.
It said its investigation has revealed the existence of a syndicate responsible for the theft of approximately R100 million worth of fuel per month from the Tutuka power station.
“The suspects, Jessie Phindile Kubeka, who is a 51% shareholder in a supplier company, Eskom employees Sarah Nomsa Sibiya, a senior technician operator and Bhekizizwe Solomon Twala, a senior store person are all facing the same charges. They were released on bail of R5 000 each.
“Their trial has been set down for February 21, 2022,” Eskom said.
The power utility stated it is anticipating the arrest of a further four suspects implicated in the same scheme to be arrested during the course of next week and warrants of arrests were being prepared in relation to suspects involved in the fuel oil syndicate.
Eskom CEO, Andre de Ruyter said Eskom and the Tutuka power station continues to be the scene of the most despicable of crimes perpetrated by some of the very people tasked with the stewardship of this public institution and by unscrupulous suppliers.
“Whilst these investigations take a long time to come to fruition, the wins whereby arrests are made and criminals are brought to answer for their unlawful conduct goes a long way towards making a positive contribution to the rebuilding of the organisation,” de Ruyter said.

Who does the black empowerment appointments, awarding tenders to black economic empowerers and who controls the state entity – ESKOM? This looting and theft, terrorism has been going on for 27 years. Start first with the top structures of the ANC government that cannot or do not want to manage the state entities properly. What happened with the state capture? Nothing?
Theft, looting, sabotage and theft of taxpayers’ income have probably been going on for months and the supervisors are stealing together. It happens that these power stations are more or less supervised. For what reasons are there mostly only b-bbee’s involved?
They steal 100 million rands worth of equipment and fuel, and get away with a bail of R5000 – how is that possible, the judiciary also plays the looters around the same table or what?
