FRONT NATIONAL WARNS LESUFI ABOUT ANOTHER SCHOOL
Front National SA
Mr Panyaza Lesufi
MEC: Education: Gauteng province
Dear Mr Lesufi,
SERIOUS CONCERNS ABOUT INFRASTRUCTURAL MAINTENANCE

In light of the tragic events at the Driehoek High School in Vanderbijplark last week, where a second story walkway collapsed and crushed 4 children to death, injuring many more, there are serious concerns about the infrastructural maintenance at schools in your province. This, undoubtedly, is also part of the responsibility of your department – not only to ensure a high standard of education, but also to ensure that our children are safe when they go to school.
Everybody learned lessons from what happened at Driehoek High School on Friday. Above all we have learned never to let it happen again.
It is with the gravest concern therefore that the parent of a leaner at Hoërskool Die Anker in Brakpan approached us with pictures of another set of overhead walkways at the particular school showing serious infrastructural and maintenance neglect .
Front National would like to point this out to you as per attached photographs and require that you urgently bring this to the attention of the appropriate staff in your office for immediate intervention.
Yours sincerely
Daniel Lötter
