Danny Titus is executive director of culture at the Afrikaans Language and Cultural Association and part-time commissioner at the South African Human Rights Commission.

Dr Titus was promoted to Professor in Human Rights and Criminal Justice in 2003 at Tecknikon SA and Unisa.   Currently he is the Executive Director of Culture ATKV (Afrikaans Language and Cultural Society).  Furthermore,  Dr Titus was appointed as a part time Commissioner at the South African Human Rights Commission in 2009.

Dr Titus obtained a Doctor of Laws (LLD) at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands in 1993 and his Dissertation was about “The applicability of the international norms of human rights to the South African legal system”. He completed his Masters in Laws (LLM) Doctorandas Juris in 1991 and he has an International Certificate in International Relations and Diplomacy from the Clingendael Institute of International relations in the Netherlands.
